Problem:
A standard chat input field treats all user input as a simple query or message. It cannot differentiate when an agent asks for a specific action versus a simple question (e.g., "Please provide your feedback," "Enter your journal entry," "What is your email address?"). This limits the agent's ability to perform complex tasks or capture structured data reliably.
Potential Solution:
Develop Structured Response Modes for the input field. When an agent initiates a specific action, the input area could dynamically transform. For example, it could switch from a single-line chat box to a multi-line text area with a "Submit" button, or even a mini-form with clearly defined fields (e.g., Name, Email).
Why It's a Game-Changer:
This feature unlocks the agent's potential to become a true interactive tool, not just a conversationalist. It allows for the creation of powerful in-chat applications like lead capture forms, surveys, feedback collectors, and task-specific inputs. This makes it possible to build complex, end-to-end workflows directly within the chat interface, vastly expanding the agent's utility for any business process.
