Dedicated "Manipulate Data" or "Edit Fields" Node

A workflow node specifically designed to easily add, remove, rename, or modify fields/keys from the data output of a previous node.

• Add New Field: Allow users to define a new field name and assign it a static value, a value from a previous node (using {{node_label.output_field}}), or a value derived from an expression.

• Modify Existing Field: Select an existing field from the input data and change its value (statically, dynamically, or via expression).

• Rename Field: Change the name (key) of an existing field.

• Remove Field(s): Allow users to select one or more fields from the input data to remove them from the output.

• Keep Only Specified Fields: An option to only pass through the fields explicitly defined or modified in this node, discarding all others.

• Change Data Type: Potentially allow changing the data type of a field (e.g., string to number, if feasible).

• Intuitive UI: A user-friendly interface to map input fields to output fields, perhaps with a visual representation of the data structure.
